Dear Members and Volunteers,
I am writing to announce the departure of CORK/Sail Kingston’s General Manager, Tommy Wharton.
Tommy was brought on as the General Manager earlier this year during a period of continuing transition for our organization. He brought great energy and ideas to the position, supporting a successful 2024 Regatta season and elevating relationships with partners and stakeholders. Tommy is now moving on to pursue other professional opportunities and interests. We thank him for his contributions to Cork/Sail Kingston and his passion for the organization and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
The Board is fully committed to ensuring a smooth transition during this period of change. An executive search committee has been formed to conduct the search for our new staff leader. For the next short while, and in view of the approaching winter season, the CORK office will be staffed by Janice Wilby and Nick Cullen only on Tuesdays and emails will be answered as promptly as possible.
