Interactive rules seminar about the new racing rules 2021-2024
March 16, 23, 30 and April 7

Several seminar will be organized in English with scenarios, once a week.
It’s better to participate to all seminar but not mandatory.

Seminars are open to everybody and free for all Sail Canada members (50$ for no members).

Race Officer and Club Judge Training through Ontario Sailing:

Dates: Monday April 4, 2022, Tuesday April 5, 2022, Monday April 11, 2022 and Tuesday April 12, 2022 (7:00pm – 10:00pm ET) – Participants must attend ALL FOUR online sessions to complete this course.

COST: $28.25 (includes taxes)

This all-women event is designed for women who are currently Assistant Race Officers who want to advance and conduct races at the club level. This collaborative learning environment seeks to establish a space where women can come together to better their race management skills. Participants will have the opportunity to work with and learn from two female Sail Canada Race Management Instructors. In the sharing of ideas and experiences, participants will not only earn the required prerequisite to apply for CRO certification, they will be able to make lasting connections with other women in sailing.



Have you ever thought about becoming a sailing judge? This is your chance!
Ontario Sailing is offering a Club Judge Seminar and Assessment on Tuesday, March 22 and Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 7:00 – 9:30 EST.
The course will be offered online for a nominal fee and run by PCYC’s Katie Nicoll and ABYC’s Wendy Loat.
It’s a great way to learn the rules and start to understand just how a protest hearing is run and what you need to know.

Safe Sport training

Offered by the Coaching Association of Canada.  This program designed to educate and provide resources to create a safe and respectful environment for all participants.

This training is a requirement for all Sail Canada Officials.  This training is FREE and we will encourage all CORK volunteers to take the online module.  This will be a requirement for some CORK positions going forward.

Maritime Radio course

VHF Radio Training

Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons offer the Restricted Operator’s Certificate (Maritime) with Digital Selective Calling by on-line self-study or in virtual classrooms with instructors. Squadrons across Canada offer the course.
