Staff Change at CORK
Dear Members and Volunteers,
I am writing to announce the departure of CORK/Sail Kingston’s Executive Director, Sarah Donaldson.
Sarah was brought on as the Executive Director in 2022 during a period of transition for our organization. She brought great commitment and long hours to the position, particularly in the summer regattas with improvements like the morning snacks and social BBQs. Sarah is now moving on to pursue other professional opportunities. We thank her for her contributions to Cork/Sail Kingston and wish her the best in her future endeavours.
The Board is fully committed to ensuring a smooth transition during this period of change. An executive search firm has been retained to conduct the search for our new staff leader. While that is happening, and in view of the approaching winter season, the CORK office will be staffed by Janice Wilby only on Tuesdays and emails will be answered as promptly as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and let us look forward to a great 2024 regatta season.
Jamie Fraser
Board Chair

Something For Everyone!
In 1969, a group of enthusiastic sailors decided to establish CORK to host international sailing events off Kingston. The area offers some of the best fresh-water sailing in the world, excellent wind and wave conditions, and is a short distance from shore to the race courses. Leading up to the 1976 Olympics, the CORK regatta offered excellent training for sailors, coaches, and officials and has since become a fixture on the international calendar.
Land Acknowledgement
CORK acknowledges that we are on the traditional land, lake, and waterways of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and the Huron-Wendat. We are grateful to be able to compete and learn on these waters.
