The Sail Canada Senior Championships & CORK OCR started today at Portsmouth Harbour in Kingston. The Kingston Town Crier and MP Mark Garretson, kicked off the event with an official welcome for Sailors, Coaches, Volunteers and supporters.

Day one brought good breeze, with 12 knots as racing started at noon and increased through the afternoon. On the single-handed course, two races were completed for the Laser, Radial and Finn fleets. The 49er, FX and I14 fleets sailed three races.

Laser- 1^st Davis (CAN), 2^nd Bowers (USA), 3^rd Gallant (CAN)

Radial – 1^st Vittecoq (CAN), 2^nd Hatter (USA), 3^rd Luczynski (CAN)

Finn – 1^st Landeau (USA), 2^nd van Wonderen (CAN), 3^rd Yuji (JPN)

49er – 1^st Ferguson/Ferguson (CAN), 2^nd Parekh/Farmer (CAN), 3^rd Wood/Wood (CAN)

FX – 1^st ten Hove/Millen (CAN), 2^nd Bolland/Flanagan (CAN), 3^rd Richardson/Chiu

I14 – 1^st Struthers/Cunningham, 2^nd Lemieux/Laventure, 3^rd Hayward/Koechli
