The Sail Canada Senior Championships & CORK OCR started today at Portsmouth Harbour in Kingston. The Kingston Town Crier and MP Mark Garretson, kicked off the event with an official welcome for Sailors, Coaches, Volunteers and supporters.
Day one brought good breeze, with 12 knots as racing started at noon and increased through the afternoon. On the single-handed course, two races were completed for the Laser, Radial and Finn fleets. The 49er, FX and I14 fleets sailed three races.
Laser- 1st Davis (CAN), 2nd Bowers (USA), 3rd Gallant (CAN)
Radial – 1st Vittecoq (CAN), 2nd Hatter (USA), 3rd Luczynski (CAN)
Finn – 1st Landeau (USA), 2nd van Wonderen (CAN), 3rd Yuji (JPN)
49er – 1st Ferguson/Ferguson (CAN), 2nd Parekh/Farmer (CAN), 3rd Wood/Wood (CAN)
FX – 1st ten Hove/Millen (CAN), 2nd Bolland/Flanagan (CAN), 3rd Richardson/Chiu
I14 – 1st Struthers/Cunningham, 2nd Lemieux/Laventure, 3rd Hayward/Koechli
