It is with the greatest regret that the CORK Board of Directors forwards this notice of the passing of Al and Carla Rutherford.

Dear Members,
With much sadness I am writing to let you know that Al Rutherford has passed away. During the early hours of yesterday morning a large fire broke out in Al and Carla’s home in Dundas. Al’s wife Carla also lost her life.
On Thursday night, July 12th racing will be cancelled, but I hope we can all join together in a procession out on the Bay.
Russ Perry will drive the Commodore Penny. At 18:25 The Penny will fire three guns to officially abandon the race. The Penny will then fly a Follow Me flag, and we will all fall into a procession behind the Penny.
Please join us in remembrance of Al and Carla.
Sail Past this Saturday will be dedicated to both Carla and Al.
